Only Scattered Outages Remain after Snow Storm

Crews have restored the vast majority of power from last night’s snow storm, but are prepared to head out again tonight if below-freezing temperatures tonight create any new outages.
Most of the outages were caused by downed trees and limbs, with many of those in heavily wooded areas where limbs were still falling as the linemen were working. Two circuit outages, one in western Carteret County and one in Havelock, affected the most co-op members. At the peak of the storm, the co-op reported upwards of 1,500 outages. Beyond that, the co-op experienced a few subdivision, neighborhood and individual outages scattered across its systema. We had all available crews working and additiional help from T&D Construction. The crews worked steadily throughout the day to get power back on.
You can REPORT AN OUTAGE here. Thank you for your patience and bundle up!
