Save the Date: MCAS Cherry Point Air Show is May 4-6
CCEC and other Eastern North Carolina cooperatives are proud to sponsor the 2018 Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point Air Show, right here in the skies over Havelock.
The 2018 show, scheduled for May 4-6, is building an even bigger performance line-up. In addition to the featured US Navy Blue Angels flight demonstration team, it will add the Canadian Forces Snowbirds, to make this the first time the show will feature two world-class jet aerobatic teams in one show. The show includes a Friday night show and day-long shows on Saturday and Sunday.
The show is free and open to the public, as a way of showing our appreciation to friends and neighbors of the air station in surrounding communities and from around the country for their unwavering support. It also serves as a way for MCAS-Cherry Point to demonstrate the magnificent capabilities of our service members and the equipment they use to conduct missions around the globe.
Visitors will witness extraordinary military and civilian aviation performances and have the opportunity to meet face-to-face with Cherry Point's Marines and Sailors, many of whom are veterans of the War on Terror. They are among the best our country has to offer and are immensely proud of their profession and their legacy of service to the nation.
The three-day show and open house includes: a Friday night show and fireworks display; Saturday and Sunday daytime air shows featuring the Blue Angels, Snowbirds, the Marine Air-Ground Task Force combined firepower demonstration, multiple performances by military and civilian aerobatic teams, flight demonstrations by historic aircraft, ground demonstrations such as the jet-powered truck Shockwave, aircraft displays on the Cherry Point flight line, a free concert, tons of good food, and plenty of entertainment for kids and adults alike.
