Carteret-Craven Electric Cooperative is dedicated and committed to the communities it serves. In fact, that commitment is one of the guiding principles that shape the way we do business. At CCEC, community involvement goes further than being a good corporate citizen. It means looking beyond our business to support our communities and businesses.
How do we do that?
Employees volunteer with a variety of organizations and events – from youth sports to church, civic clubs and much more. In their free time, employees volunteer with a variety of organizations, averaging nine hours a month per employee in community service.

You as a member are a big part of our dedication to our communities. By participating in Operation RoundUP®, you have helped us return more than $2 million in grants to individuals and organizations to empower and assist your friends and neighbors. Since inception, the Carteret-Craven Electric Foundation, which administers RoundUp® funds, has funded many worthy requests, including scholarships high school seniors and community college students; Bright Ideas Grants for public school educators; grants to nonprofit organizations such as the American Cancer Society, Children’s Miracle Network, NC Burn Center, Broad Street Clinic, Carteret County Domestic Violence Program; funding to social services agencies, military veterans organizations, senior citizens projects and many more.
We also partner with local businesses and organizations to help support regional economic growth. Through Rural Economic Development grants and loans, we contribute to growing the economic base help keep and grow jobs and services in our communities.
