2012-2013 Bright Ideas Winners

27 educators from schools in Carteret and Craven counties earned grant funding from Carteret-Craven  Electric Cooperative for innovative teaching projects that will enhance their students’ learning.

These educators earned a total of $19,316 in Bright Ideas grants for projects expected to touch more than 4,458 students from kindergarten through high school, and in all subject areas, from energy & electronics to school vegetable gardens, to electricity & magnatism and more.

Since inception, Carteret-Craven Electric Cooperative (CCEC) has issued close to $300,000 in grants impacting more than 60,000 area students.
